Teaching and promoting the game of golf is the most important part the Golf Professional’s job. As a Professional, I enjoy the opportunity to mold young people’s ideas of what to expect during this great game just as much as i enjoy the possibly of shifting the views of experienced players to promote the fun and enjoyment of the game. I do not subscribe to any particular teaching method, as I am a firm believer that one size does NOT fit all. I assess the individual’s unique abilities and limitations and use what they have to find the right teaching method to ensure their success. After spending thousands of hours on the lesson tee, what I continue to love about teaching is that each lesson presents itself with unique concerns. The solutions come from a vast array of teaching techniques and drills. The appropriate combination will see that the students’ weaknesses are addressed and they leave satisfied.

Most of us have experience a "perfect" golf shot. High flying, straight as an arrow, right off the center of the club face to drop and stop right where it lands near the target. The kind of shot we chase day in, day out trying to repeat each and every time we bring the club back. So why doesn't it happen every time? It's my philosophy that our golf swing rarely changes even when the results are far from consistent. I contend that our golf swing is a reaction to our "starting position" or "set up" relative to an intended target. Once to understand the fundamentals of setting up to the golf ball, your natural swing can perform far more consistently. Let's face it, regardless of what we shoot golf is always more enjoyable when you're not fighting your swing.

From trying to play at high levels to just wanting to fix a slice I understand how it feels. Golf can be a frustrating sport, at the same time it is one of the most rewarding. Every golfer has had good and bad shots, it is the good ones that keep you coming back. My goal as a coach is to minimize the bad shots and make your good shot better. When it comes to my teaching style I adapt to how you the golfer is able to learn and grasp ideas. Golf is already complicated the first step to simplifying it is one lesson away.
